Description:
QGGR06 is a gravimetric quasi-geoid model for the Reunion Island. More specifically, it covers the area from -21.50° to -20.75° in latitude and
from 55.14° to 55.94° in longitude, with a grid resolution of 0.01°. The reference ellipsoid is GRS80. The model was computed by Stokes'
integration using a remove-restore procedure with terrestrial gravity data from BGI, IPGP and OPGC, and marine gravity data from BGI, KMS and SHOM.
The reference global gravity model was composed of GGM02S coefficients up to degree 100, supplemented by those of EGM96 up to degree 360. The digital
terrain model of the Reunion Island was derived from the BDTopo model on land and from the SHOM and Sandwell bathymetry on sea, while the one of the
Mauritius Island was derived from the SRTM model on land and from the Sandwell bathymetry on sea. The expected accuracy of the QGGR06 model is 10-15 cm.
