Description:
RAR07 is a hybrid geoid model for the Reunion Island, covering the area from -21.50° to -20.75° in latitude and from 55.14° to 55.94° in longitude, with a grid
resolution of 0.01°. It replaces the previous GGR99 model and it is an adaptation of the QGGR06 model to GPS/levelling points. In particular the residuals are
first reduced by a linear trend and then interpolated by kriging. The RAR07 model represents the height of the IGN89 reference surface above the GRS80 ellipsoid
in the RGR92 geodetic reference frame. It has been assessed by using 28 independent GPS/levelling points, showing differences with a standard deviation of 8 cm.
The comparison between RAR07 and the previous GGR09 model shows differences with an overall standard deviation of 15.1 cm, the largest in the Northwest Zone.
