Description:
The gravimetric geoid in Brunei was computing for the area
3.5° < lat < 5,5° and 113.5° < lon < 116° , with a resolution of 2'x 2' and
using terrestrial, airborne and altimetric gravity data. Least squares collocation in the
framework of a remove-restore technique is applied. The global model was EGM2008, referred to the
GRS80 ellipsoid, while the terrain model was SRTM30 PLUS. The estimated accuracy of this geoid
model is ± 1.6 m when evaluated at 86 GPS survey marks tied to the local vertical datum by spirit
levelling. Because of the poor quality of these GPS/levelling data, this estimated accuracy is
not reliable and the actual accuracy is expected to be slightly below ± 0.3 m.
