hBG18 is a hybrid model for Belgium computed by the Royal Observatory of Belgium and the Belgian National Geographic Institute. It is based on the combination between a gravimetric quasi-geoid and 3707 GNSS/levelling data points over Belgium. The combination procedure wis described in Klees and Prutkin (2010). The hBG18 model represents the altimetric conversion between orthometric heights in TAW vertical datum and ellipsoidal heights in ETRS89 datum (GRS80 reference ellipsoid). hBG18 replaces hBG03 as the official Belgian model since August 1, 2018.
